The Beder Birthday Dinner is an evening filled with celebration, purpose and a poignant reminder of the incredible work this charity undertakes to raise awareness around mental health and suicide prevention. The special event brought together partners, supporters, and friends to reflect on the impact of Beder’s initiatives and the shared commitment to creating a more open, supportive conversation about mental health.

We are beyond proud to announce that VOLT won the Partner Content Award at this year’s Beder Birthday Dinner. This accolade recognises our collaborative efforts with Beder to champion their mission and amplify the message of mental health awareness. As our director, Lyle Metcalfe shared on the night:

We’re super proud to support such a great cause and we are looking forward to continuing our work with Beder in the future.

A Partnership with Purpose

Our partnership with Beder has been an incredibly rewarding journey. At VOLT, we believe in using our platform not just to revolutionise travel but also to contribute meaningfully to our communities. Supporting mental health initiatives aligns with our ethos of promoting greener, healthier, and more enjoyable lives across the UK.

From our collaboration on campaigns like Break The Cycle to our ongoing advocacy efforts, we’ve sought to shine a light on the importance of mental well-being. Together with Beder, we aim to inspire conversations and create opportunities for people to engage with this vital topic.

Breaking the Cycle: A Collective Effort

Our Break The Cycle campaign is one of the many ways we’ve worked with Beder to promote awareness. This initiative invited participants from various walks of life to take on cycling challenges while raising funds and spreading the word about mental health. We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who joined us in this campaign, including:

Anthea Turner, Much-loved TV personality & national treasure. It was really nice to spend time with her and hear her thoughts about mental health and how she copes with it. She spoke of the importance of talking about your problems and trying to communicate them with the correct person in your friendship group. We were also lucky to meet her charming and distinguished French Bulldog ‘Soho’.

Mr Motivator, A familiar, friendly face appearing on our television screens for over 30 years, fitness guru Mr Motivator is a tireless campaigner for physical, social and mental health awareness.

Natasha Devon, founder of the Mental Health Media Charter and co-founder of “Where’s Your Head At?”, Natasha took on the #BreakTheCycle Challenge in Richmond Park to raise awareness around mental health and suicide prevention

Stuart Semple, Known for his vibrant, socially engaged art, is channelling his creativity to raise awareness around mental health and suicide prevention. Let’s support him as he pedals for a cause that’s close to his heart.

Looking Ahead

Winning the Partner Content Award is a milestone for our partnership with Beder, but it’s only the beginning. We’re excited to continue building on this relationship, raising awareness, and inspiring more people to take part in this crucial conversation.

Whether through future campaigns, events, or initiatives, VOLT remains committed to supporting Beder’s mission to destigmatise mental health discussions and foster a culture of openness and support.
